Vote: Winter Meetings

 Alfonso Soriano
The Cubs have been big spenders so far, especially with the multi-talented Soriano.

Maybe it's the heat. Maybe it's the humidity. Maybe it's the Soriano contract. Whatever the reason, teams have been awful cavalier about spending money at the Winter Meetings in Orlando this year. There's a lot of money flying around, which the players certainly don't mind.

As usual, the big stars got big contracts: $136 million for Alfonso Soriano, $100 million for Carlos Lee, $70 million for J.D. Drew. People have quibbled with the years, but the money isn't too far off the usual mark. When Juan Pierre finds himself $45 million richer...well, that's when people start to talk.

There hasn't been a huge, blockbuster trade at the meetings so far, as a rumored Manny Ramirez trade yet again didn't go through. Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens remain teamless, as do a host of lesser players. Still, we've come far enough so that SportsNation can assess what's come to pass..

Which player will be the best? Which will be the bust? Who are the winners and losers? Vote below and let us hear your opinion!
