Peyton Manning = best ever?
As should be no surprise to anyone following the NFL in 2013, Peyton Manning has broken the single-season record for touchdown passes in a season. A slight surprise: He did it with one whole game remaining, thanks to a 400-yard, four-touchdown performance at the Houston Texans on Sunday (his Denver Broncos won 37-13). Manning now has 51 scoring tosses on the year, one more than Tom Brady posted in his 16-0 campaign in 2007. Next up: Drew Brees' single-season yardage mark (Manning trails 5,476-5,211) and, for the Broncos, the single-season points scored mark (they trail Brady's Patriots 589-572).
