FIFA president Sepp Blatter said on Twitter that goal-line review has become a necessity. Do you agree?
rckjms407: "I've seen several blatant penalties not called by endline officials and now the goal that wasn't allowed. Its fairly obvious the endline officials are not needed for policing the penalty area, and the use of GLT helps to eliminate the human error on whether or not the ball crossed the line."
bissey88: "refs already have earpieces... who cares if a sound goes off in their ear when the ball crosses the line? is that really much of a difference? the fans wouldn't even notice the change- other than the right call being made."
925chid: "Woah....Woah... No need to turn the "beautiful game" into a profound technological user, like American Football now. Just keep it simple now, a ref on the sideline next to the goalie is good enough and a decision is never made "quickly", and even if it was then it would most certainly spark controversy. "
AmericKop10: "I'd rather share in the indignation and fury of a botched call and keep the purity of the game in tact than make this game any more like American sports with all the constant stopping/re-starting and reviewing."
blatidat: "They should pick up the same strategy the nfl uses. Don't discount the credibility of a good ref entirely and give each team say, 2 challenges in which they can challenge a refs call if they feel it's absolutely necessary. And if the challenge is correct the coach wont lose that challenge he will still have 2. "
trueblue_8: "Its sad that these top guys in world football are STILL talking about if the GLT be implemented or not. The discussion should be whats the best way that this technology be brought into the game. "
