Team USA women's soccer may be the world's best, but its male counterpart lags far behind. Can the U.S. men manage a victory against rival Mexico in tonight's friendly?
JackieCn09: "We've been averaging about one game against mexico during this WC cycle. I think that needs to go up. They should play at least 2 friendlies per year if they aren't scheduled to meet in a competition. I know thats not how it works but it would be a lot of fun to see more of this rivalry."
Barrett0987: "Bring home the W. A little concerned about the player missing like Dempsey, Boca, Bradley, and more, but I understand the decision. It is easy to get caught up in the moment, but since this is a friendly and some regulars are aging and won't be starters in t Brasil 2014, we young guys need to see big-time experience like this. "
MANUTDUSAFAN: "We have the physical aspect to beat Mexico, all we need is touch on the ball. If we could play fast with precise passes we would be unstoppable. "
MartinAlvito: "Mexico just has better young talent than we do right now. These things run in cycles. (If they didn't, the Brazilians would have won every World Cup since the late 1950's.)"
jawatoss: "US has a problem where young athletes are not as attracted to Soccer as other sports. Where in other Nations Soccer is top dog, where i am from American Football reigns supreme with basketball and Baseball all garnering better youth support. Athletic talent is more dispersed here then it seems elsewhere."
