The news that Robert Griffin III, who required surgery on his ACL and LCL, might be ready for the start of the 2013 regular season must be of some comfort to Redskins fans. Earlier reports indicated he could have missed up to 14 months, which would have been quite an emotional plummet -- one week, your franchise has a golden chance with their supernova talent at quarterback; the next, they're wondering if he'll play at all next season. Even if he does make it back in time, there's no guarantee he'll be able to keep up his high level of play, which might result in the return of disappointment in Washington.
Switching it up?
Griffin's style of play results in explosive runs and an awful lot of wins, but it's tough to keep healthy when you're being hit more than average.
Griffin's career is young, but he's had several troubling health concerns thus far, which has to have Redskins fans worried about his future.
