There's going to be some good basketball being played in the NIT, and not just when Kentucky is on the floor. The reigning NCAA champions will take on Robert Morris in the tournament's first round (7:30 p.m. ET, ESPN/WatchESPN), in a venue a lot smaller than they're used to. It's got to be a bit of a letdown for Kentucky, but we're not totally convinced the team will play down to its competition -- they'd have to face John Calipari's wrath if they did.

Dancing with Noel?

Kentucky went 4-4 after Noel went down with a season-ending ACL injury, but would his presence have really mattered all that much?

The NIT is the less prestigious of the two major men's college basketball tournaments, but we'd rather our team have a shot at a championship than a brief tango at the Big Dance.
