Justin Verlander is making so much money, you guys. The 30-year-old Tigers pitcher is set to make $180 million over seven years, with an option for an eighth year that would bring the value of the deal to $202 million. This pretty easily makes him the highest-paid pitcher in the game, beating Felix Hernandez by about $5 million. Considering his accomplishments -- five All-Star appearances, a Cy Young Award, the fact that he somehow throws harder in the ninth inning than he did in the first (which makes him possibly a wizard) -- we'd say he's made a good argument for it.

Both Justin Verlander and Felix Hernandez are dominant. Hernandez has a perfect game to his name, while Verlander has two no-hitters.

Who deserves to be the highest-paid pitcher in baseball?
