People are starting to pay serious attention to the Knicks, but that's no surprise. A 12-game winning streak will do that, especially when the best player is scoring like crazy. Carmelo Anthony's stats have been insane recently -- he dropped 50 points on the Heat and 36 on the Thunder, numbers that bode well for the Knicks if they end up meeting either team in the playoffs. That proposition -- a deep playoff run for New York -- doesn't seem particularly far-fetched as the regular season winds down.
Beat the Heat?
The Knicks' streak pales in comparison to the Heat's, but New York might match up rather well against Miami in the playoffs.
