At one point during this interminable offseason, the Jets had six quarterbacks on their roster. Six! Kind of absurd, don't you think? They've since managed to pare that down to a much more reasonable four, which is still at least one more than any team needs. Tim Tebow is gone (against his will), and now he's been followed by David Garrard, who was unable to continue due to his knee not quite holding up anymore. This leaves the Jets with two unproven quarterbacks (Geno Smith and Matt Simms), one semi-proven quarterback (Greg McElroy), and one quarterback who's proved something, although perhaps not quite what he set out to (Mark Sanchez). We'd love to be a fly on the wall in coach Rex Ryan's office when he makes his final decision. The wait is almost too much to handle.
