For Grinnell College guard Jack Taylor, scoring in the high double digits in one game has become kind of passe, something he does as a warm-up to an actually impressive performance -- a performance like Sunday's 109-point explosion in a 173-123 win over Crossroads College. We're not even surprised at the total -- Taylor's the same guy who scored 138 points last season -- but it's his peripherals that have us stunned. He went 24-for-48 on 3-pointers, scored 53 points in the first nine minutes of the second half and had 70 shots overall in a mere 29 minutes. Frankly, we're amazed that his teammates found time to score 64 points of their own.
