Where do you rank a veteran like Paul Pierce?

How do you size up the heralded class of NBA free agents?

NBA fans have been hearing about the summer of 2010 for years, and general managers have been planning for it for about as long. That has a lot to do with the two names on top of just about everyone's wish list: LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. It's not often two of the league's biggest stars hit the open market in the prime of their respective careers. But the available talent goes beyond just those two, from young big men like Chris Bosh and David Lee to veteran hands like Paul Pierce and Dirk Nowitzki.

The summer spending season is finally here, so how do you size up the players NBA teams will be competing for in the weeks ahead?
