Cards rookie phenom reigns supreme

Michael Wacha is making his rookie campaign one to remember. The Cardinals pitcher was unbelievably good tossing 6 2/3 innings of shutout ball in Game 2 of the National League Championship Series against the Dodgers. He now has 14 postseason innings under his belt and is posting a 0.64 ERA, while holding opponents to a .125 batting average.

David Ortiz moved up two positions from past week's rankings after blasting his first-ever postseason grand slam. Justin Verlander landed in third place after silencing the Athletics bats in a must-win game. Carlos Beltran was positioned in the fourth slot for becoming the first player in MLB postseason history with both an outfield assist and a game-winning RBI in extra innings. And rounding out the top five was Tomas Hertl, a Sharks player who, in only his third NHL game, netted four goals.
