Juan Ignacio Chela wins at Kitzbuehel

KITZBUEHEL, Austria -- Top-seeded Juan Ignacio Chela defeated Daniel Gimeno-Traver of Spain 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 on Wednesday to reach the quarterfinals of the Bet-at-Home Cup.

Sixth-seeded Andreas Seppi of Italy and Santiago Giraldo of Colombia also advanced before organizers called off the remaining second-round matches because of rain.

Chela came from 4-2 down to win the opening set. The Argentine broke Gimeno-Traver once more in the third.

Chela, who lost in the first round of his past two clay-court tournaments, will play Marcel Granollers or Antonio Veic.

Giraldo defeated fourth-seeded Fabio Fognini of Italy 6-3, 6-3, and Seppi beat Pere Riba of Spain 7-5, 6-4 after the Italian won five straight games from 5-2 down in the opening set.

Seppi will play either second-seeded Feliciano Lopez or Robin Haase in the quarterfinals.

Granollers led Veic 6-0, 3-6, 4-2 and Lopez and Haase were tied at 6-1, 4-6, 1-1 when play was suspended.
