The defending WNBA champion Indiana Fever will open the 2013 season against the San Antonio Silver Stars on May 24.
The WNBA on Wednesday released its 2013 schedule, which also features a six-game slate on Memorial Day.
The Washington Mystics and Tulsa Shock will play at 3 p.m. on May 27, followed by the Chicago Sky at the Phoenix Mercury at 5 p.m. on ESPN2.
"There's lots of excitement heading into the 2013 season. Fueled by the anticipated draft class, ESPN has decided to move the telecast of the WNBA draft presented by State Farm into a prime-time window on April 15 and to tip off our broadcast season with a doubleheader on Memorial Day," WNBA president Laurel J. Richie said in a statement. "Needless to say, we think this is a wonderful way to start the season."
The 2013 All-Star Game is set for 3:30 p.m. on July 27 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.
