The Phoenix Mercury spoiled the Seattle Storm's home opener 87-82 Sunday night, taking an early lead behind Brittney Griner's dominant post play and holding off a comeback attempt by forcing a turnover with 3.2 seconds left and the Storm down three. Griner had 29 points on 10-of-17 shooting, 10 rebounds, four assists and three blocks. Breanna Stewart led the Storm with 22 points, 15 boards and three assists. Phoenix joins the Chicago Sky as the two teams who are 2-0 after the WNBA's opening weekend.
