Natisha Hiedeman scored 28 points and Amani Wilborn added 20 points to help Marquette secure a trip to the NCAA tournament with an 86-78 victory over DePaul on Tuesday to win the Big East crown.

Marquette women beat No. 22 Oregon State, 74-73

Natisha Hiedeman and Allazia Blockton combined for 47 points and Amani Wilborn's layup with 13 seconds left lifted the Marquette women to a 74-73 upset of No. 22 Oregon State on Tuesday night.

DePaul's Jenkins is Big East player of the year

The Big East named DePaul's Chanise Jenkins its player of the year and Doug Bruno its coach of the year, with Marquette's Allazia Blockton taking top freshman honors.


No. 19 DePaul women beat Marquette 98-65

Jessica January had 23 points on 10-of-12 shooting and handed out nine assists on Saturday as No. 19 DePaul closed the season with its eighth straight win 98-65 over Marquette.
