Travis Pastrana

Born: October 8, 1983
Hometown: Annapolis, MD
Nickname: TP, Wonderboy
Known For: Double backflips on a dirt bike, near-perfect FMX freestyle runs, 15 X Games Medals, MTV's Nitro Circus

When it comes down to it, there isn't much Travis Pastrana hasn't done. The 26-year-old multi-sport superstar was a freestyle motocross champion at 14, a Supercross champ at 15, and a Rally America champion at 23. Did we mention he landed the first-ever double backflip on a dirt bike (age 22), jumped out of an airplane sans parachute (age 24), and became the star of his very own show on MTV (age 25)?

Topping his previous accomplishments won't be easy, but Pastrana is still hungry. His jump on New Year's Eve may go down as his biggest and baddest of all time ... until next year, when he attempts to top himself yet again. The current world record for a rally car jump stands at 171 feet, set by Pastrana's rally competitor and main sponsor Ken Block, co-founder of DC Shoes. Pastrana is poised to not only break Block's record, but to shatter it — over a large expanse of ocean.

In headlining the Red Bull: New Year. No Limits event, Pastrana will follow in the footsteps of fellow motorsports athletes Robbie Maddison and Rhys Millen, who rang in the last two New Year's Eve celebrations by pushing their physical, mental and technical limits to break boundaries and records, in front of thousands of fans in Las Vegas and millions of viewers on ESPN.
