It hasn't quite reached Lane Kiffin's level yet, but Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson wasn't afraid to fire back at Virginia Tech after the Hokies made allegations that the Jackets used illegal blocks in their 28-23 win.

Johnson told the Atlanta Journal Constitution on Monday that the allegations were "a joke."

That’s a joke,” Johnson said Monday. “Put the tape on and watch. Tyler Melton cracked the free safety. He doesn’t even block him. He shields him.

“They got out-schemed. So it’s illegal to out-scheme them, I guess.”

Zing! Oh, and P.S., Johnson said, the officials missed about a half a dozen holding calls on the Hokies. Wow, did Johnson just beat Virginia Tech again? Sounds like it ...
