Virginia Tech is the last team waiting on a potential bowl berth in the ACC, and its fate is up in the air. The Hokies need one more victory to go bowling, and if it can finish with seven -- or if the rest of the mid-level ACC teams collapse -- they'd be an attractive choice for the Belk Bowl, given that it would be Frank Beamer's last game. If they fail to win another game, however, the ACC would almost certainly fall short of filling its bowl slots, which isn't a good look for a league still struggling for credibility.
At the top, Clemson's playoff spot remains a likelihood, but the bigger question is whether Florida State or North Carolina can crash the New Year's Six party. Both are on the outside looking in, but there'll be more chaos ahead of them before the season is out.
