Bills GM denies talking to Steelers

Buffalo Bills general manager Buddy Nix told a Buffalo radio station Wednesday he has not spoken to the Pittsburgh Steelers about quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the Steelers are trying to peddle Roethlisberger and contacted the Bills among other teams that own top 10 picks Thursday night and that the Bills are not interested.

Jason La Canfora of NFL.com also reported the Steelers have contacted the Bills.

Nix claimed a different tale.

"I had no idea that was going on," Nix said during an interview with "Shredd & Ragan" on 103.3 The Edge. "I've been in a meeting. I'm trying to take care of our business.

"Nobody's talked to me, and I would feel assured nobody that there's nobody in this building that they've talked to. You can put an end to that rumor."

"Shredd & Ragan" finished off the segment with a doctored radio highlight that had Roethlisberger throwing a touchdown pass to Lee Evans.
