Reports: Brady in camp, talks favorable

If you're a New England Patriots fan worried about Tom Brady's state of mind, then I have good news and good news.

After a rush of speculation in recent days, discord appears to be at a minimum.

Any talk of a holdout can stop because Brady reported to camp with the rookies Sunday, FoxSports.com's Adam Caplan reports. Teams can mandate quarterbacks and injured players to show when the rookies, do.

ESPN's Adam Schefter, citing unnamed sources, also reports Brady and the Patriots are making progress toward a contract extension, which could be reached by the end of the summer. Brady is entering the final year of a deal he signed in 2005.

Boston Globe writer Albert Breer wrote an in-depth Brady analysis for Sunday morning's editions. Breer stated Brady definitely would report, but presented a more ominous view of Brady's future negotiations and speculates he might be headed for the franchise tag next offseason.

If the Patriots would franchise Matt Cassel, you better believe they'll franchise their franchise.

EDIT: A league source has confirmed to me Brady did report for camp Sunday.
