Bills need T.O. on the field

The news that Terrell Owens will miss a third straight preseason game isn't going over well with Buffalo Bills fans.

Owens still is bothered by a sprained toe that flared up at the Hall of Fame Game. He has practiced once since then -- for about 20 minutes.

There are skeptics out there who believe Owens is fine, claiming he has a track record for pulling stunts to get out of practice. Heck, maybe he just needed another dramatic storyline for his failing reality show.

Should that be any consolation for anxious Bills fans?

They've gotten a load of the first-team offense without Owens, who played only one series in Canton. The starters haven't scored a touchdown yet. Owens needs to be out there.

So, the two possibilities are he's suffering from a delicate injury that could impact his entire season, or he's playing hooky at a time when the Bills' offense is struggling to find an identity.

Either way, Zantac sales spiked Tuesday in Western New York.
