Jets should score plenty against Texans

The last time the New York Jets played at the Meadowlands, they failed to score a point.

AccuScore doesn't see that being a problem Sunday against the Houston Texans. Not nearly.

In AccuScore's 10,000 simulations of the matchup, the Jets averaged 28 points, the fourth-highest projection for Week 11. Mark Sanchez averaged a 93 passer rating, and Jets running backs averaged 120 rushing yards.

The formula for Houston is sacking Sanchez. He was sacked an average of once per simulation, but if the Texans can ground him three times and come up with at least one interception, then their chances rise to 62 percent. If Arian Foster can rush for 100 yards and score a touchdown, then the Texans are 60 percent favorites. But that Foster scenario has just a 25 percent chance of happening against the Jets' defense.

Overall, the Jets are projected as 67 percent favorites by an average margin of six points.
