Video: Cold truth about playing in winter

The Northeast and Midwest have been walloped by some nasty cold fronts over the past few weeks.

"Sport Science" host John Brenkus examined how playing in freezing conditions can affect players and game balls. Brenkus tested the impact of extreme cold on reaction time, grip and skin temperatures as well as the air inside the football.

The experiments provide insight into what it might be like to play in Ralph Wilson Stadium, Gillette Stadium or the Meadowlands in the coming weeks.
