Report: Erie's Bob Sanders to visit Buffalo

Donte Whitner has been retweeting links all day about the Buffalo Bills' potential interest in fellow safety Bob Sanders.

Whitner even retweeted a story I wrote about him retweeting stories.

Here's one more for him.

Florida Times-Union writer Tania Ganguli has tweeted Sanders will visit the Bills on Tuesday.

Sanders spent Monday with the Jacksonville Jaguars and left without signing a contract. Ganguli noted on her blog it was a gorgeous day to visit Jacksonville. The temperature was about 80 degrees with low humidity.

Sanders, who spent his entire career playing in domes for the Indianapolis Colts, will look out his airplane window and see barren whiteness in Western New York. The forecast for Tuesday is sunshine with a high of 22 degrees and winds that will make it feel like single digits.

But there's something to consider, Bills fans: Sanders is from Erie, Pa., and still lives there, the Colts' media guide states. Erie is 90 minutes west of Orchard Park on Interstate 90. He could visit his family every day if he wanted to.

Of course, there might be confusion if Sanders were to sign with the Bills. Their outside linebackers coach is Bob Sanders.
