Bills host Matt Kalil, Dre Kirkpatrick

The Buffalo Bills can go on several different directions with the No. 10 overall pick in this month's NFL draft. The team's website reported Thursday that the Bills hosted a pair of first-round prospects in USC left tackle Matt Kalil, and Alabama cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick.

Buffalo isn't projected to take either player at No. 10. But this is most likely a case of Buffalo gathering information in the event it trades up or down the draft board. The Bills are in search of a left tackle to protect starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Kalil is expected to be a top-five pick. Buffalo also could use a top cornerback. But Kirkpatrick is expected to go in the middle or late first round.

Scouts Inc. recently ranked Buffalo's needs, in order, as left tackle, receiver, cornerback, quarterback and outside linebacker.
