Morning take: Steve Johnson shines

Here are the most interesting stories Friday in the AFC East:

Morning take: This is good news for the Bills, because they need Johnson to lead the passing game. Buffalo doesn't have a stable No. 2 receiver yet. So Johnson will be counted on often.

  • New York Jets Pro Bowl corner Darrelle Revis didn't hold out because of a clause that added three more years to his contract.

Morning take: This was a smart but little-known move by the Jets. Revis already had two holdouts, and New York was wise to prevent a third. It's still unknown how both sides with proceed.

Morning take: McDaniels joined the team during the playoffs last season but had a full spring to implement his own wrinkles. Rest assured both tight ends will be heavily involved.

Morning take: "Rebuilding" is a word teams avoid because it sends a bad message to the locker room. But Miami is not chasing a championship this year. The 2012 season is all about making progress.
