Resetting Buffalo's injuries

After a Monday evening scrimmage, Buffalo Bills players have Tuesday off, allowing for recovery time after eight days of training camp.

Here's an updated look at the health of the roster:

OFFENSE

QB Kevin Kolb (knee): Coach Doug Marrone called it a "bumped" knee after Kolb slipped on a wet rubber mat in between practice fields on Saturday. Kolb did not play in Monday's scrimmage because of a death in the family, and Marrone said afterwards that it would have been a "doctor's decision" if he was available Monday.

RB Zach Brown (rib): Brown was injured during Monday night's scrimmage and did not return. His status is unclear.

WR Steve Johnson (hamstring): Johnson is not expected to return for at least another week after pulling up with the injury Friday, Marrone said.

WR Kevin Elliott (shoulder): Elliott was carted off the field last Wednesday and has not practiced since.

TE Scott Chandler (ACL): Chandler is still working his way back from offseason surgery. The team has built rest days into his training camp schedule, and he did not take part in Monday's scrimmage.

TE Mike Caussin (hip): Caussin has not practiced since being injured Friday.

OT Chris Hairston (back): Hairston remains on the active/physically unable to perform list. The team won't have to make a roster decision on him until the end of the preseason, if he doesn't return by then.

DEFENSE

DE Mario Williams (foot): Williams has been participating more in practice since arriving at training camp with a sore foot. He did not take part in live portions of Monday's scrimmage, however.

DT Kyle Williams (Achilles): Like Chandler, Williams had offseason surgery and has been eased back into practice. He did not participate on Monday night.

DT Aaron Tipoti (ankle): Tipoti was injured during a goal-line play during Monday night's scrimmage and did not return. His status is unclear.

OLB Keith Pough (chest): Pough left Monday night's scrimmage with a chest injury. His status is also unclear.

CB Justin Rogers (hamstring): Rogers has not practiced since last Tuesday.

S Duke Williams (concussion-like symptoms): Williams left Saturday's practice, and has not been on the field since.
