Whenever Ben Roethlisberger is healthy enough to return, he won't have to worry about missing a game because of Baby Ben.
Roethlisberger and his wife Ashley announced the birth of their son, Benjamin Jr., on his Facebook page:
We would like to let everyone know that last night at 10:06 PM Ashley and I welcomed a healthy, beautiful baby boy into this world.
Roethlisberger caused a stir earlier this season when he said he would not play if his son was born on a game day. But that is no longer an issue anymore. Roethlisberger, who is expected to miss his second game with rib and shoulder injuries, said pictures will be posted this weekend.
This is the second son born to an AFC North quarterback this year. Joe Flacco's son, Stephen Vincent, was born five months ago.
In the tale of the "baby" tape, Benjamin Roethlisberger Jr. weighs 7 pounds,1 ounce. Stephen Flacco was eight pounds when he was born.
Now, the pressure falls squarely on the Bengals' Andy Dalton and Browns' Brandon Weeden.
