Morning take: Can T.O. work in Cincinnati?

Here are the most interesting stories Friday in the AFC North:

  • Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco believes his team should sign controversial receiver Terrell Owens.

Morning take: The Bengals need help at receiver, but I'm not sure the 36-year-old Owens is the definitive answer. It could be a short-term fix at best.

  • Using the franchise tag on nose tackle Casey Hampton would cost the Pittsburgh Steelers a little more than $7 million.

Morning take: It's a high cost but the Steelers will likely do it. There is no full-time replacement on the roster.

  • The Cleveland Browns will soon decide on the future of Donte Stallworth, who will be reinstated next week after the Super Bowl.

Morning take: The Browns also have a need at receiver, but don't expect Stallworth to fill one of those slots.

  • There is a little confusion on whether the agent for Baltimore Ravens quarterback Troy Smith officially made a trade request.

Morning take: I don't think it matters one way or the other. Both sides know the deal, and if the right offer comes along for Smith a trade could happen.
