How great is it that we have people who will sit down, thoroughly review a jam-packed Super Bowl commercial and give us a complete review of how each team in the league was represented?

I love it.

Hat tip to Battle Red Blog for pointing me to Avinash Kunnath’s post reviewing the NFL’s “American Family” Super Bowl ad.

The ad had clips from famous TV shows featuring characters in NFL gear, and by Kunnath’s count, 31 of 32 teams were represented. The Jets may have had as many as nine fans in the commercial, including high-profilers from "The Sopranos" and "Friends."

The slighted team wasn’t the one we'd typically expect -- Jacksonville. It was Houston.

Here’s Kunnath’s divisional review:

• Houston Texans: None. Ouch.

• Indianapolis Colts: Mercedes Jones from "Glee"

• Jacksonville Jaguars: Lenny from "The Simpsons"

• Tennessee Titans: Comic Book Guy from "The Simpsons"

“The only one I'm not sure about is Bart Simpson,” Kunnath says. “Doubt he's a Texans fan though.”

UPDATE: 10:15 a.m.: Blog editor extraordinaire Jonathan Hudec IMed me as he read this post: "I think Maude Flanders in the Simpson's clip is wearing a Texans jersey." I shall try to advise Kunnath and see if he revises.
