Texans sign entire draft class

The signings of draft picks, especially in the first round, used to be big news stories, complete with occasional holdouts and tough talk from both camps.

In today's era of slotted rookie contracts, it's barely worth noting.

But we will. The Texans signed their entire draft class, according to a source, ahead of the start of Friday's rookie minicamp. The news was first reported by Mark Berman of FOX 26 and John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.

Their draft class includes first-round cornerback Kevin Johnson, second-round inside linebacker Benardrick McKinney, third-round receiver Jaelen Strong, fifth-round receiver Keith Mumphery, sixth-round linebacker Reshard Cliett, sixth-round defensive tackle Christian Covington and seventh-round running back Kenny Hilliard.

Those players will join a host of undrafted rookies, both signees and tryout players, at this week's rookie minicamp.
