The Oakland Tribune reports that Raiders coach Tom Cable said starting quarterback Bruce Gradkowski will only play Sunday against Seattle if he has no issues and can practice fully Friday. Unless Gradkowski makes major strides in the next 24 hours, he will likely miss his third straight start and be replaced by Jason Campbell.
The Raiders’ game Sunday will be blacked out. It’s Oakland’s 11th straight blackout. The team was hoping its 59-14 win at Denver on Sunday would help sell tickets.
The Raiders will be green at receiver Sunday. It looks like rookie receiver Jacoby Ford will be starting in place of the injured Louis Murphy alongside Darrius Heyward-Bey against Seattle. Ford, a fourth-round pick, had his first two NFL catches last week against Denver. Heyward-Bey has just 14 catches in seven games.
Denver receiver Eddie Royal practiced on a limited basis Thursday after not practicing Wednesday with a groin injury. Safety Brian Dawkins and cornerback Andre Goodman are expected to play Sunday against the 49ers in London after they practiced fully for the second straight day. They both didn’t play in the past two games.
Kansas City receiver/rusher/returner Dexter McCluster was limited for the second straight day with an ankle injury.
