Marcell Dareus not pleased with Broncos

Don’t expect Marcell Dareus to be in the holiday spirit when the Denver Broncos visit the Buffalo Bills on Christmas Eve.

Dareus won’t be baking cookies and filling stockings for his visitors. He has revenge on his mind.

“Denver, I’ll get a chance to play them in the regular season and I’m going to make it hell for them every time I play against them,” Dareus said in a radio interview with Michael Irvin.

It seems Dareus is not over the fact that the Broncos bypassed him in favor of linebacker Von Miller with the No. 2 draft pick of last month’s draft.

Dareus, a defensive tackle from Alabama, was connected to Denver right up until the final 36 hours before the draft, when there was heavy buzz Denver would take Miller, an outside linebacker from Texas A&M.

It was considered a bit of a surprise since defensive tackle was Denver’s biggest need and Miller was considered more of a 3-4 linebacker than a 4-3 linebacker. Yet, Denver’s brass fell in love with Miller.

Clearly, it doesn’t sit well with Dareus.

It will be fun to see how he reacts Dec. 24 when he sees the Broncos across the field from him. At the very least, it makes an otherwise bland Week 16 matchup more interesting.
