Denarius Moore makes good strides

Unless there is a setback, Oakland receiver Denarius Moore should be back on the field Monday when the Raiders host San Diego.

It is significant that Moore, who has missed about a month with a hamstring injury, practiced Thursday. Not a sign that he is completely healed, but he is on his way. If the Raiders didn’t think he could play Monday night, Moore likely wouldn’t be practicing. He was limited in practice, according to the official injury update.

Thus, unless something drastically turns, No. 3 Oakland receiver Jacoby Ford may have a difficult time playing Monday. He remained out of practice Thursday with a foot injury.

Meanwhile, San Diego running back Ryan Mathews is likely not going to play Monday night as he returns from a broken clavicle. He was limited in practice Thursday, according to the official injury update. The more likely target date for Mathews is Week 2 against Tennessee.
