Moving on: Kansas City Chiefs

Here are some areas the Kansas City Chiefs need to focus on after a 35-17 road loss at Buffalo on Sunday:

Recap: The Chiefs’ early-season struggles continue for the second straight season. Just like last season, the Chiefs are getting hammered. They have been outscored 75-41 in two games. This team, especially on defense, looks lost.

Biggest area to fix: Overall defensive effort. Allowing 75 points in two games is atrocious. Yes, the Chiefs are not at full strength, but there is too much talent on this defense for this to be happening. Head coach Romeo Crennel is his own defensive coordinator. He has to improve immediately.

Biggest area to build on: Yes, much of the Chiefs’ offense came Sunday in garbage time. The Bills led 21-0 and 35-3. But Matt Cassel did rack up some yardage in the passing game. There were some things to like about the Chiefs offensively.

What to watch for: The Chiefs go to New Orleans on Sunday in a battle of two teams that are surprised to be 0-2. Something has to give in the Big Easy.
