It is not a surprise that Norv Turner had to answer a question of whether he is considering benching quarterback Philip Rivers.
That’s what happens when teams lose. Panic sets in.
But there is no chance Rivers will be benched, nor should he. Yes, he is making untimely mistakes, but there is not a better option. Rivers is still a positive player for the Chargers.
