Receiver Dwayne Bowe, who is set to be a free agent after this season, told the Kansas City Star that he would like to stay a Chief.
Will he? It may depend on who is running the team. If Kansas City doesn't put the franchise tag on him, Bowe could be attractive in free agency. It’s just too early to tell if he will end up staying with the Chiefs.
I will say this about Bowe: He is playing very hard for a 1-8 team. And it should please Chiefs fans that he expressed a willingness to stay during these dark days for the franchise.
Meanwhile, the NFL Network reported that Kansas City quarterback Brady Quinn has been cleared to be the backup quarterback behind Matt Cassel on Sunday against Cincinnati. Quinn has been out with a concussion since Week 8. Quinn will likely regain the starting job in Week 12 barring a huge game from Cassel against the Bengals.
