Few teams are watching this year's left tackle draft prospects with more anticipation than the San Diego Chargers.
The position is the team’s greatest need and it could very well be the direction the Chargers take with the No. 11 overall pick in the NFL draft
Thus, count the Chargers among the interested in the week Eric Fisher has had at the Senior Bowl practices in Mobile, Ala. The Central Michigan product has been one of the stars thus far.
Teams wanted to see the massive Fisher perform against top competition, and the 6-foot-7, 305-pounder hasn't disappointed.
That could work against the Chargers, though. With some top prospects at the position opting to go back to school, the left tackle class is not that deep at the top of the draft. Thus, because he had a good week of practice, Fisher could become a top-10 pick.
If that is the case, the Chargers may have to trade up a bit to land Fisher or consider another prospect at the position with the No. 11 pick. Fisher will surely be on the Chargers’ short list in the coming months as he's started the draft season with a bang.
