Prediction: Cardinals get back on track

If there’s a week for the Arizona Cardinals to forget their offensive woes and get back on track, it’s this one in Atlanta.

The Falcons are among the worst teams in the league when it comes to yards allowed. They’re 32nd in both total yards allowed per game – the only team in the NFL to allow more than 400 yards per game – and running yards allowed per game. Atlanta is also 24th in passing yards allowed per game.

There may not be a better remedy for the Cardinals’ struggling running game.

Arizona is ranked 31st in rushing yards per game (78.4) and 32nd in rushing yards per play (3.08). While stats typically don’t tell the complete story, in Arizona’s case they do. The Cardinals haven’t effectively run the ball all season, breaking 100 yards just four times in 11 games – and not since Week 9.

The Falcons are also ranked 30th in sacks per pass attempt entering Sunday.

Prediction: Cardinals 34, Falcons 17
