Larry Fitzgerald making progress, still misses practice

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald didn't practice Wednesday but coach Bruce Arians said the 31-year-old has made "some progress" toward returning from a sprained left MCL.

"Yeah, he's made some progress," Arians said. "It's still not where it needs to be, but he's making progress."

It was the fourth straight practice that Fitzgerald missed. He didn't play Sunday in Seattle, snapping a streak of 110 straight games played.

"We've got our fingers crossed there," Arians said.

Linebacker Kenny Demens (hamstring) did not practice Wednesday, either.

Limited were linebacker Lorenzo Alexander (knee), linebacker Marcus Benard (shoulder), wide receiver John Brown (teeth), running back Andre Ellington (hip/toe), defensive tackle Ed Stinson (toe).

Quarterback Drew Stanton (ankle) practiced in full.
