Welcome to #CardsMailbag, a weekly installment that allows you to ask me questions about the Arizona Cardinals throughout the week via Twitter@joshweinfuss. I'll answer them every weekend during the offseason. Make sure to use the hashtag #CardsMailbag.Calais Campbell. For the most part, Arizona does have stability at most positions over the next three years just not enough to warrant a top 10 ranking.
@joshweinfuss position battle(s) you are looking for in camp? Are there any Or just mainly rehabbing/development? Palmer,Cooper,Ellington - Antonio Esquivel (@HoneyBucketHero) July 16, 2015@joshweinfuss I think there are both position battles to watch and players who are rehabbing to keep your eye on. I think the fight at right cornerback between Jerraud Powers and Justin Bethel is an interesting one, as is right tackle between Bobby Massie and D.J. Humphries. I'll also be keeping an eye on the rotation battle at safety. The rehabbing players to watch are, obviously, Carson Palmer, Tyrann Mathieu, Jonathan Cooper and Andre Ellington. But another one to keep an eye on will be tight end Troy Niklas.
@joshweinfuss what do you think the odds are of Humphries supplanting Massie on the right side by say, week 3? - Daniel Zink (@DanZink_Results) July 16, 2015@joshweinfuss I think this will be one of the most intriguing storylines of training camp and the first month of the season. Humphries is obviously the future at right tackle, but the question becomes how soon will Arizona decide to enter the future? Another question will be at what point will Humphries be ready to take over? I think the odds are, right now, 50-50 that Humphries will steal Massie's job. Wait until the Cards put on pads to ask me that again.
