Carson Palmer gets sacked twice, throws TD to John Brown

GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Carson Palmer's second preseason start didn’t begin as smoothly as the first, but the Arizona Cardinals quarterback still found the end zone.

Palmer, who played three drives, finished 3-for-7 for 88 yards and a touchdown but he was sacked twice.

Palmer struggled on the Cardinals’ opening drive. He threw two incompletions and was sacked on third down, which resulted in a punt. Palmer found a rhythm on his second drive, shaking off a sack on the first play to hit rookie receiver J.J. Nelson on a 57-yard pass that sailed most of the way in the air.

Palmer found wide receiver John Brown in the back of the end zone for a 17-yard touchdown.
