          Stats say Cardinals are Super Bowl favorites

          TEMPE, Ariz. -- Yes, it’s only been three weeks.

          Yes, the Arizona Cardinals have faced three subpar teams.

          But, no, the numbers don’t lie.

          According to the ESPN Football Power Index, through three weeks the Cardinals are the current favorites to win Super Bowl 50.

          The Cardinals have a 25.3 percent chance to hoist the Lombardi Trophy, according to the FPI. The New England Patriots have the second-best chance at 21.5 percent. The Green Bay Packers are third at 14.1 percent.

          Other FPI projections for the Cardinals:

          • Chances of making the Super Bowl: 41.4 percent

          • Chances of making the NFC Championship Game: 62.8 percent

          • Chances of winning the NFC West: 86.5 percent

          • Chances of making the playoffs: 97.2 percent

          • Projected final record: 12-4
