Cardinals to send three injured players back to Arizona

DETROIT – The three Arizona Cardinals who suffered injuries in Sunday’s win over the Detroit Lions did not accompany the team to West Virginia on Sunday night, coach Bruce Arians said.

Arians said after the Cardinals’ 42-17 win in Detroit that linebackers Kenny Demens and Alex Okafor and safety Chris Clemons will fly back to Arizona to undergo MRIs on their respective injuries. After the game, the team flew to West Virginia, where it will spend the week at The Greenbrier, a resort in White Sulphur Springs.

Demens injured his left knee, Okafor his right calf and Clemons his left hamstring.

Asked about his feelings toward the three injuries, Arians replied: “I do not feel good.”
