Andre Ellington upgraded to limited in Thursday's practice

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Arizona Cardinals running back Andre Ellington returned to practice Thursday in a limited form for only the second time since suffering turf toe against San Francisco in Week 12.

Head coach Bruce Arians did not meet with the media Thursday and offensive coordinator Harold Goodwin does not discuss injuries, so an update on Ellington’s status was not available. Arians will meet speak with the media Friday afternoon.

Linebacker Sean Weatherspoon (illness), tight end Jermaine Gresham (knee) and center Lyle Sendlein (knee) all returned to practice in full.

Safety Rashad Johnson (ankle) did not practice for the second straight day this week.

Johnson told reporters he was feeling good and hopes to practice Friday and play against Green Bay on Sunday. He was working with a trainer on a side field during the open portion of practice Thursday.

Defensive lineman Josh Mauro also didn’t practice Thursday and spent part of the open portion of practice working with a trainer.

QB Carson Palmer (finger), CB Jerraud Powers (calf), DT Cory Redding (ankle), DT Frostee Rucker (ankle) and DT Ed Stinson (shoulder) were all limited.
