TEMPE, Ariz. -- Another piece of the Arizona Cardinals' defense will be returning next season.
The Cardinals re-signed defensive tackle Red Bryant to a one-year contract. Terms of the deal were not immediately available.
The former Super Bowl champion with Seattle signed with Arizona last season on Thanksgiving morning.
Bryant, 31, had five tackles in six games, playing a significant role in the Cardinals’ run defense. When Bryant was on the field during the final six games, Arizona allowed 165 rushing yards. Without him, the Cardinals allowed 353.
He’s the fourth free agent Arizona has signed this year, joining fellow teammates QB Drew Stanton and TE Jermaine Gresham, and newly acquired S Tyvon Branch.
