Cardinals rookie C Evan Boehm knows how it feels to ask the questions

TEMPE, Ariz. -- When Even Boehm gets pulled aside for an interview over the next few weeks, he’ll know what it’s like to be on the other side of the camera.

The Arizona Cardinals’ fourth-round pick commandeered a microphone during SEC Media Days last summer, flipping roles with the reporters who covered him at the University of Missouri. He interviewed a handful of Columbia, Missouri and St. Louis-area reporters during a hilarious four-minute video.

His questions ranged from asking one reporter if he got new glasses to asking another if he, a Kansas City Royals fan, argues with a fellow reporter, who’s a St. Louis Cardinals fan, to asking everyone for an impression of former Missouri coach Gary Pinkel.

The video shows a lighthearted side of a tough football player, who started 52 games for the Tigers and played his entire senior season with a high-ankle sprain.

Understanding what it’s like to be a reporter in front of the camera -- even if it was for a short time and as a joke -- will give Boehm an upper hand when it comes to dealing with the media in the NFL.
