Ball, 31, is a nine-year veteran who spent last season with the Chicago Bears. He had 18 tackles, three pass breakups and three disrupted dropbacks, according to ESPN Stats & Information. At 6-foot-2 and 195 pounds, he adds length and size to the Cardinals’ cornerback room – a combination Arizona has been in search of.
But after a groin injury last season in Chicago, Ball saw his snaps slowly decline. Over the last eight games, he played just 37 snaps and had one tackle.
Arizona released Tyrequek Zimmerman in a corresponding roster move.
