Roddy White inactive against Cardinals

ATLANTA -- Falcons wide receiver Roddy White was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Cardinals with an ankle injury.

White did not practice all week after apparently tweaking the ankle in last week's loss to the Browns. Falcons coach Mike Smith said he expected White to play despite not practicing the entire week. White was listed as questionable for the game.

Without White, quarterback Matt Ryan is likely to look more to Harry Douglas as the secondary receiver behind top target Julio Jones. Drew Davis, who recently returned to the lineup from offseason foot surgery, also could get more looks.

The Falcons also are without starting nose tackle Paul Soliai, who has been away from the team dealing with a personal matter. Corey Peters is likely to start for Soliai.

Also for the Falcons, strong safety William Moore is active for the first time since separating his right shoulder in Week 4. Moore is expected to be in the starting lineup.

Also inactive for the the Falcons are the following players: quarterback Sean Renfree, cornerback Robert Alford, linebacker Tyler Starr, T Jonathan Scott, LB James Anderson.
